Frequently Asked Questions
We offer a variety of tours including guided off-road adventures through Southern Utah’s Sand Hollow, Toquerville, and Zion. Each tour is designed to showcase the unique landscapes and thrilling terrain of the area.
Can I drive the Hummer myself?
Yes, in our Hummer Drive Experience, guests over the age of 16 can drive a Hummer on a challenging off-road course at Sand Hollow, under the supervision of a professional driver. No driver's license is required for this experience.
Drivers and Riders: Each Driver is allowed to have two additional riders of their choosing join their trip for an additional $35 per rider. A rider cannot independently signup for the experience on their own. A driver must include the riders on their booking. If a driver doesn't book or include any rider on their experience with them then no additional riders will be placed in their Hummer during the driving time. Riders are not permitted to drive during the experience but they will have a reserved seat inside the Hummer to enjoy the ride with their driver.
What are your safety measures?
All our guides are professionally trained off-roaders, medically certified for backcountry care. We are fully licensed, insured, and BLM-permitted. We have established extensive safety contingencies to ensure that our guests are safe and well cared for at all times during the tours.
Do I need any off-roading experience?
No prior off-roading experience is needed. Our experienced guides provide all necessary training and support, making our tours suitable for all skill levels.
What should I bring on the tour?
Comfortable outdoor clothing, sturdy shoes, sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat are recommended. Water and snacks are provided, but personal items like cameras are welcome.
Are there any age or health restrictions?
Pregnant women, especially those in their third trimester, and individuals with severe heart conditions should use caution. Children in car seats and women in their third trimester of pregnancy are not permitted on the Hummer Tours but may join the Zion Ghost Tour.
How do I book a tour and what are the payment options?
Tours can be booked through our website or by calling our office. We accept credit cards, PayPal, and same day cash.
What is your cancellation policy?
A full refund is provided for cancellations made more than 72 hours in advance, minus a non-refundable $25 fee. Cancellations made less than 72 hours before the tour are not eligible for a refund. If we cancel a tour for any reason, guests will receive a full refund.
Peek Protect:
You may purchase our booking protection option named Peek Protect for a small fee. This allows you to cancel you reservation at anytime even less than 72 or 24 hours before your tour departure date and still receive 80% of you booking amount back in a refund.
What happens in case of bad weather or a breakdown?
Tours may be rescheduled or cancelled due to severe weather. In case of a vehicle breakdown, our Client Recovery Guides will ensure you continue your tour or return safely to your vehicle. Guests may need to walk to a pickup location on the trail if necessary.
Can I book a private tour?
Yes, we offer private tours tailored to individual, family, or group needs. Costs vary based on the group size and tour location.
Gratuity Policy:
A $25 gratuity is charged at checkout, shared among our guide, safety, and rescue staff. Additional tips for exceptional guide service are welcome. This gratuity is broken down as follows. Day of tour guide receives $10 of each gratuity, standby safety guide receives $10 of each gratuity and the customer care staff receives $5. If you feel your day of Tour guide did an exceptional job on your tour and you'd like to give them an additional tip, that is more than welcome and appreciated.
